Does this work on HEIC photos from iPhones?
HEIC files are converted to JPEG first, then cleaned. The downloaded file will be in JPEG format.
Is my photo sent to a server?
No — the entire process runs in your browser using JavaScript. No data ever leaves your device.
Will cleaning the metadata reduce image quality?
For JPEG files, metadata is removed without re-encoding, so quality is unchanged. For PNG and WebP, the image is re-encoded at high quality, which may cause a very minor file size change.
Analysis happens entirely in your browser — your photo is never sent to any server.
